Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.

Philippians 4:5 NIV

I have such a hard time controlling my reactions, Lord.

It’s so much easier to blow up in anger and hurt someone who has wronged me than to actually getting to the bottom of the issue and seek forgiveness on both sides.

I hate to admit I’m wrong. I hate to say I’m hurt.

But I know, Father, that You call Your daughters to be gentle in all situations.

This type of grace that I show during conflicts is evidence of Your peace.

If I follow You, I have a duty to show others Your character.

You are not unkind or impatient. You don’t keep a record of wrongs.

Be near me during chaos as I try to seek the comfort and answers You provide.

My strength and hope are only a prayer away.

You promise to be near every second of the day.
