It is so important for us to live in our own lane.
As Christians and human beings, it’s imperative that we are able to set standards, be set apart, develop our own uniqueness, etc.
See, Jesus brings life to any atmosphere. We can learn so much from his great example. I actually learned about having getaways from reading about Jesus and the times he would put in so much work then, he would go into the mountains for a refresh.
In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there. Luke 5:16
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them, he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; Luke 6:12-13
I so enjoy being around water, the beach, fishing, sand, soil, etc. Gardening is a great love of mine. In my home, I have so many plants and flowers. Soil and plant life is extremely important to my mental health and well-being. I have created a whole vibe with my plants all around. Everyone who knows me knows about my love of plants.
I realize that something happens when I see nice plants and flowers. I feel like I light up from the inside out. I just can’t help smiling from ear to ear. Plants make me feel alive keeps me feeling grounded. There is something about putting my hands into the soil and moving my fingers around. Touching the earth and being present in the here and now is very refreshing and rejuvenating. So, my having my plants and flowers around me is now a part of me, an atmosphere, or a vibe.
We all have signature items or things that we do or have that are so us.
It’s important for us to hold dear to these things that make us, us. We should take care not to cause undue harm or disruptions to others around us.
For instance, if I need to sing loudly every morning at 5 am in the shower, well, I may have to save the singing for my get-away times or sing while in the car or something. I think Jesus wants us to live for Him, love ourselves, to create a positive environment or atmosphere (vibe), and to give necessary room and freedom to others so they can do the same.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
