“A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones (Proverbs 12:4).” Let this scripture marinate with your soul for a minute.

In my season of being pursued by an awesome man of God, I would ask women who have been married for 20 years or more for biblical advice. I had one woman tell me that I have a choice to be one of two women. Then she referenced Proverbs 12:4. I went back and asked her after reading and meditating on the scripture, how can a woman be rottenness to a man’s bones? See I assumed that any woman getting married shall want to encourage and build him and she would want to submit to him as unto the Lord.

This  particular lady then told me that a marriage will depend on our relationship with the Lord. She began to reference Psalm 1 and how there were two types of people mentioned. Wicked or righteous. Proverbs 12:4 talks about being a help within the covenant of marriage, but we as women of God shall strive to always be helpers to our brothers in the Lord whether married, in a relationship before marriage, or just friends.

Now my question to you is are you a helper or hinderer?

Do you thrive to build your brothers up, dress in a modest fashion to help them in their thoughts, or pray for them to be men of valor? Or do you hinder them with your dress code and insult them? You are either one or the other. You choose.
